⚫︎Let’s make O-ZONI (special MISO soup especially for OSHOGATSU from Jan. 1st to 3rd)

Prepare DSHI boullion and MISO depending on your taste; What types of MISOs are used for O-ZONI depend on where each Japanese, especially Mom, is from beaause MISOs closely relate to each area in Japan such as SIIRO-MISO for Kyoto and Kansai area (some areas even do not use MISO.) Other ingredients are white radish, carrot, fish or chicken. and MOCHI rice cakes. Cut them into the size you and your family can eat,

Boil a pan of water.

Put thd vegetables and leave them about for 10 minutes.

Add the DASHI and MOCHIs and heat off or extinguish the fire as the MOCHI is expanding.

Add MISO.

Serve 5 into a Japanese bowl. Vegetables first, MOCHIs next, and the soup last. This order eases your task to wash the bowl when you finish the Japanese ceremony (lol) because MOCHIs are soooo sticky and would stick to the bottom of the OWAN bowl if you put MOCHIs first into it!
