世界で見ても日本は長寿大国。
これから世界でお年寄りが増えてくるであろうことを思うと、日本の老人の生活（介護の手続きなど）や病気のことを世界の人に向けて「英語で」発信することで、前例として少しでも何かお役に立てるのではないか、と思い立ち、少しずつブログ記事にしていくことにします。
Japan is a super-aging society including my father; he is 87 years old and has experienced lots of diseases such as prostate cancer and myocardial infarction.

うちの父親は87歳。本人曰く、「満身創痍」。
患った、あるいは患っている病気や症状はこんな感じです。
1) 前立腺がん（完治）Prostate cancer
2) 胃がん（マルト・リンパ腫）（官界） MALT lymphoma
3) 心不全（心筋梗塞）→ 心臓にステントを入れて現在治療中。Myocardial infarction
4) メヌエル（先日も救急搬送されました）Mernuel
5) 憩室破裂（手術）Diverticulum rupture
6) 胆のう摘出（胆石による）Cholecystectomy
7) 高血圧（50代から治療中）High blood pressure (treated since he was 50s)
8) 白内障 Cataract
9) 強度の難聴。Severe hearing loss (using aid equipment on his ears)
救急搬送された3)の「心不全」のときは、入院先の看護師さんからの勧めで、介護認定の申請をしました。結果は「要支援1」。各地方行政によって違うかもしれませんが、手続きには二月近くかかりました。申請は、行政の窓口や近くの地域センターで行います。
He applied for the Japanese social nursing care insurance and certified as “Support level 1. The insurance is divided into five levels: Support 1 and 2 and Nursing care 1,2, and 3 (highly serious conditions).
● 前立腺がん (Prostate cancer) その１
父親が「前立腺がん」と宣告されたのは74歳のとき。
「尿の出がおかしいから」と本人が自覚症状を感じて、近くの診療所を受信ｈしたところ、「大きな病院で見てもらったほうがいい」ということになり、大学病院を受診しました。
精密検査に要した日数は2日。
そのうち、PSA値という血液検査ではかる数値は重要な要素となります。平均は0.1前後と言われていますが、父の結果は「90」。
生検では、前立腺のまわり何か所かから組織を最終するのですが、そのうちのたしか9割が「陽性」だったと記憶しています。
My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer when he was 74. First he went to a near clinic and then was recommended to go to a special hospital for thorough inspections. The result showed that his PSA was 90 and the almost 90% of biopsy told “Positive.”
