As I told you. there are many onomatopoeia words in Japanese.

One of them is “PUCHI-PUCHI.”

Can you imagine what PUCHI-PUCHI is? (lol)

PUCHI-PUCHI means air-cushion like wrapping materials with small embossed parts protecting the wrapped thing from impacts.

Because the sounds, to many Japanese including me, you crush the convexes is like that, people use the onomatopoeia rather than using its formal term. “KANSHOH-ZAI (緩衝材).”

Also. many understand what”PUCHI-PUCHI” is rather than “KANSHOH-ZAI.”
