⚫️Japanese onomatopoeia -PUCHI-PUCHI” by Kay Koyama (JPN)
As I told you. there are many onomatopoeia words in Japanese.
One of them is “PUCHI-PUCHI.”
Can you imagine what PUCHI-PUCHI is? (lol)
PUCHI-PUCHI means air-cushion like wrapping materials with small embossed parts protecting the wrapped thing from impacts.
Because the sounds, to many Japanese including me, you crush the convexes is like that, people use the onomatopoeia rather than using its formal term., “KANSHOH-ZAI （緩衝材）.”
Also, many understand what”PUCHI-PUCHI” is rather than “KANSHOH-ZAI.”

The “PUCHI-PUCHI”sheets are used such goods;
★Cans of confectionaries such as candies, cookies. and chocolates.
★Fragile gifts such as glass-bottled wines and SAKEs.
⚫️How to crush “PUCHI-PUCHI”
1 Spread the KANSHOH-ZAI sheet.
2 Pinch softly one or two air-filled small raised part (s).
3 Push it/them with your thumb and index finger as the parts are torn.
4 If the parts bannot be broken, use your nails to tear the surface of them.
